Welcome to Loraine's Retreat! This lovely four bedroom home is nestled in the heart of the resort area, just three blocks from the boardwalk and beach. Loraine's Retreat invites you to kick back and relax, letting the sun melt away your stress. When you're ready for adventure, take the short walk to the boardwalk and enjoy plenty of shopping, restaurants, and live entertainment. Pose for a picture with our famous King Neptune statue on 31st Street or head down to 23rd Street to challenge your family to a round of putt-putt at Jungle Golf. With so much to do and see, you may just want to extend your retreat for a second week!

We enjoyed our stay very close to everything the house had everything you need pool toys beach chairs kitchen well stocked hope to come back for family fun

Third Summer - Looking Forward to More

Overall

This was our third summer at Loraine's Retreat and it's started to feel like a home away from home for us. Having the private pool is so nice, and we eat almost every meal outdoors on the deck and gazebo. The location also cannot be beaten; the neighborhood is quiet and being able to walk to the boardwalk/beach is a major plus. Not to mention, being able to pop out the back gate and walk over to the Starbucks at Harris Teeter was also so nice. And finally, this was our first year being there over the 4th of July. Being able to see the amazing fireworks from the front yard really cool.

Overall

It was great for our family and loved that we had our own pool. The only issue was that the ladder was ready to break, but when we called someone came the next day to fix it. Loved that the location was within walking distance to many things especially beach/boardwalk.

The house was actually much larger than we expected based on the photos in the listing! It was a great stay for our two young families. The house was well equipped but feels a bit cluttered. The space was lovely, the pool was awesome, and the location was perfect! Atkinson Realty was fantastic to work with!! Everyone we had the pleasure of speaking with was so pleasant and helpful from start to finish!! We will definitely seek them out for our next stay in Virginia Beach!!

Nice amenities with a few issues

Overall

This house had plenty of space for all of us. The gazebo outside was wonderful! We could sit outside and eat or just enjoy the outdoors while being shaded. Being able to enjoy a private pool was also very nice. However there were some issues. The sliding glass door in the kitchen was almost impossible to use. It was so hard to slide. You really had to put some muscle into it. If an elderly person was there they never would have been able to use it. One morning we also woke up to find a huge cockroach in the living room.
