Cape Henry Lighthouse, built in 1792, is one of the oldest lighthouses in the U.S. and stands at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay. Located within Fort Story military base, visitors can climb the original lighthouse for panoramic coastal views. A newer, active lighthouse was built nearby in 1881.
